About us
Hello, we are The Big Art People…

A duo of artists from Alrewas in Staffordshire. We have been running workshops in schools and communities since November, following our involvement in the Alrewas Arts Festival 2008.
We love to create giant artwork, involving as many people as possible, regardless of how creative they are (or think they aren't!). There is something awesome about collaborative art, seeing people spotting ‘their bit’, and the general awe surrounding a piece that no one person has ultimate control over.
As well as our ever growing portfolio of school projects, we have also been commissioned to deliver programmes of activities throughout 2009 for British Waterways and South Staffordshire libraries.
We do painting, drawing, cutting, ripping, mosaics, films, music, willow stuff, and loads more and we're constantly experimenting with new techniques and ideas to add to our repertoire, and to further our goal of inspiring creativity in everybody regardless of age or circumstance.
Tim Stanton studied English and Music, has produced plays, large-scale charity events, and concerts. He also helped to organise the 2008 Alrewas Arts Festival. He loves hitting drums so hard his hands bruise.
Jim Ralley has done theatre, films, poster art, travelled, taught English, and studied abroad. He loves his graphics tablet more than he loves his mother, and he doesn't tolerate instant coffee.
We have public liability insurance and both of us hold a current Enhanced CRB Certificate.
